MOTHER CIRCLE
Becoming a Mother can be the most amazing experience.
Motherhood can be hilarious, dark, beautiful, lonely, brutal, loving and messy.
The tensions can be one hell of a ride throughout your mothering journeys but co-existence of emotions is more common and more vital than we may think, and certainly more than what society would lead us to believe.
There is actually a name for it....Matrescence - the transition you make into and throughout your mothering journeys. The latter being a key part, throughout your mothering journeys.
We often hear of the postpartum journey as if this is something that disappears when we emerge from the newborn bubble. Yet the reality is we continue to (un)learn, grow, explore and navigate this role way beyond those first few months and years. We nurture ourselves and our wildlings throughout our mothering journeys, and that's OK, hell it's vital!
Like adolescence, matrescence is a time of change both mentally and physically. However, unlike adolescence there is still very little understanding, acceptance or support, across much of western society, for the transitions women make in Motherhood.
In a time where many of us no longer live near or with our ‘village’, aren't connected to or with our elders, especially female ones who share their wisdom of mothering, it can feel overwhelming as we transition from maiden to mother.
You may have moments where you wonder…
🌿 Who is holding you physically or emotionally, who is holding space for you to share how you are feeling?
🌿 Who is holding you when or if you wish to share your birth story, however that unfolded, who is asking how your birth was?
🌿 Who is holding you when you don't know how to feel about the wave of hormones and emotions, in the depths of sleep deprivation and overwhelm, rage, anxiety, and a love like no other?
🌿 Who is holding you when you feel so much love you feel you may burst?
I am interested in holding you, holding space with and for you on your transition into early motherhood and beyond. Because that support shouldn’t stop just because they’re now walking, talking, at nursery, school or working.
I am interested in sitting in silence with you, hearing your cries, your laughter, all the feelings you wish to release, knowing this can change from one moment to the next, and that's OK.
This is Mother Circle
There is something powerful when women gather and hold space with and for each other to pause, reflect and reconnect with yourself and other women in a supportive and nurturing space.
This is what The Birth and Motherhood Collective Mother Circle is all about.
The Mother Circle is your space and time to speak freely without the distractions, pull and need to be doing something for others, this is your time to (re)connect, share experiences and build community with other women.
Sharing is 100% optional. If you feel more comfortable listening, that’s OK, follow your needs; this is your space.
The most valuable thing I've ever done for myself thank you - Mother Circle Participant

Who is Mother Circle for?
All are welcome, whatever stage you're at and whatever experience you have in your pregnancy and mothering journeys. Whilst this is a mother only circle, babes in arms are absolutely welcome.
I like the atmosphere and the vibe which is non judgemental.
Moms can share their stories in turn. Being a person who is less likely to share in a new environment, I found it extremely encouraging and safe for me to speak my mind and my experiences.
